"Terra Formars" Anime Announcement May Be Coming Soon

 

Seinen sci-fi series recently licensed by Viz

 

The recent registration of a terraformars.tv domain and a teaser that an announcement is coming in Young Jump issue 12, on February 20th are suggesting that 2013 Manga Tasiho nominee sci-fi seinen may soon be getting an anime. 

 

Viz announced plans to release Yū Sasuga and Kenichi Tachibana's sci-manga in North American starting this summer. In it, humanity sends mold and cockroaches to Mars in the 21st to prime it for colonization. In the 26th century, a group of scientists travel to the planet, only to be wiped out by hulking humanoid roaches. Mankind responds by sending a squad of warriors to the planet.

Censura, engonhanço e fillers, pois a manga é bastante recente. Assim que Beelzebub acabar, planejo ler a manga disto. Não tenho grandes expectativas para o anime :/

Esperava que o anime viesse mais tarde ou mais cedo mas talvez tenha vindo cedo demais visto o material da manga até agora.

Shueisha POP Haishin Corner, a service for book retailers to download display material, features a poster for the eighth volume of writer Yū Sasuga and artist Kenichi Tachibana's Terra Formarsmanga. According to the poster, a television anime and original video anime of Terra Formars has been green-lit.

 

The story begins in the year 2577, hundreds of years after scientists sent cockroaches and mold to terraform Mars. However, when the first manned ships land on Mars, they encounter large humanoid cockroaches with great strength, and are wiped out. Humanity then sends elite warriors to Mars to eliminate the cockroaches.

 

Sasuga and Tachibana launched Terra Formars in 2011. The manga ranked at #3 on the Da Vinci magazine's list of the best male-oriented comics in the first half of 2013. The manga also topped the male readers category of the 2013 edition of the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! guidebook. The manga wasnominated for last year's Manga Taisho award.

 

Viz Media licensed the manga for North America.

 

The Internet domain name “terraformars.tv” was registered on January 31. There is currently no website at the web address. This year's 11th issue of Shueisha's Young Jump magazine is reporting on Thursday that an important announcement for Yū Sasuga and Kenichi Tachibana's Terra Formars manga will be made in the following issue, which is scheduled to go on sale on February 20.

Ao que parece, a OVA irá adaptar o arco Bugs 2 e o animu (TV) irá adaptar o arco Annex 1 (que se passa 20 anos depois do arco Bugs 2).

 

Como não leio a manga e há aquele 1 e 2 nos "títulos" dos arcos, tenho de perguntar: qual deles é o primeiro arco da manga?

O Bugs 2 vem primeiro, o Annex 1 é o arco logo a seguir.

 

Por isso para quem não lê o manga, é melhor ver o OVA 1º, se não vão haver muitas coisas que não vão "apanhar".
