Ao Haru Ride Shōjo Manga Gets TV Anime

 

Maaya Uchida, Yuuki Kaji lead cast for story of girl who meets middle school love again in high school has over 4.42 million copies in print

 

The February issue of Shueisha's Betsuma magazine is announcing on Saturday that a television anime adaptation of Io Sakisaka's Ao Haru Ride (Blue Spring Ride) shojo manga has been green-lit. The anime will star Yuuki Kaji (Attack on Titan's Eren, Guilty Crown's Shū) as Kō Mabuchi, and Maaya Uchida (Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live's Wakana, Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!' Rikka) as Futaba Yoshioka. More cast for the anime will be announced in the next issue of the magazine.

 

In addition, a drama CD featuring the anime's cast will also be bundled with the limited edition of the tenth compiled volume of the manga. The original story in the drama CD is written by Sakisaka. The CD will also have cast comments at the end of the CD. The bundle will be released in Japan on May 23.

 

According to the magazine, the manga currently has over 4.42 million copies in print.

 

Ao Haru Ride revolves around Futaba, a girl who was in love with a boy named Kō Tanaka in middle school. However, after a misunderstanding, their relationship as friends ends when he transfers schools over summer vacation. In high school, her world is turned around once again when she meets Kō again, this time under the name of Kō Mabuchi.

 

Sakisaka began her Ao Haru Ride manga in the magazine in 2011, and Shueisha is shipping the ninth compiled volume in Japan on Friday. The manga was also ranked as one of the top twenty shojomanga reccomended by professionals in the fields of manga and publishing. Viz publishes Sakisaka'sStrobe Edge manga in North America.

estava com expetativas um bocado altas para isto... não que não tenha sido giro... mas esperava uma coisa melhor, vamos lá ver os próximos...

Gostei do episódio. Tenho andado a acompanhar o manga já há uns tempos e estou a ponderar encomendar os volumes que saíram em francês. Não é o primeiro trabalho que li da autora e as obras dela são similares, típicas, porém funcionam bem. Gostei das vozes das personagens, gostei da música e ainda me tenho que habituar a estes visuais, que já não estava habituada, estilo aguarela (?), espero que isto supere a adaptação de Kimi ni Todoke.

Muito bom este primeiro episódio! A associação entre o passado e o presente, os visuais e a relação entre os dois protagonistas. A parte que a meu ver será mais interessante (não acompanho a manga) tem a ver com a tentativa da Futaba em ser alguém diferente do que é na realidade. Venham mais episódios
